Here reside ancient tomes in shiny digital form.
The first Microbeam Analysis meeting was held in 1966. By 1968, the Electron Probe Analysis Society of America (EPASA) had formed and the meetings were held under its auspices. In 1974, EPASA was renamed the Microbeam Analysis Society which it remained until the 2000s when it was renamed the Microanalysis Society.
Up until 1979, the proceedings were self-published at which point a small publisher named San Fransisco Press took responsibility. In 1993, the MAS changed publishers from the San Fransisco Press to VCH (now VCH-Wiley). This lasted until 1996 when the Microscopy and Microanalysis journal took over. The issues from VCH are currently unavailable in digital form. Since 1996, all proceedings are available online from M&M.
